The battery life
After recording the trail for nearly 8am I recharge the GPS. When you connect the GPS to the charger (I use a small hike with 2 AA batteries charger with a USB or a charger with a USB connector that plugs into the cigarette lighter)

By plugging a charger, the GPS will automatically create a new file. Ideally I do when I need to create a new file for a change of means of transport (even if I can merge or split the files later)

The red LED lights steadily and remains lit until it is fully loaded, meanwhile, the blue LED off a while and then flash again. The LED flashes blue as before, two quick shots, then a shot at random. Everything goes well, the signal is always present, contact register, the red LED , remains lit until the battery is charged.

Some USB ports are not powerful enough (500mA) with my GPS, it takes about 2-3 hours to fully charge on a standard USB port. Prefer a USB port located directly on the motherboard.

Be careful about a false full charge, if you use a battery charger, it may be that your batteries are empty by stopping, loading, hit the red LED is no longer experiencing load, you might think that the GPS is fully charged, which is not the case!

If the GPS is in "alarm" discharged, the red light flashes once regularly the blue LED is off, it is not possible to turn it back immediately. You have to let it load a while before re-engage. A new file will be created. Each battery charge, a new file is created, make plans to do when your means of locomotion exchange between drive and walking for example.

It is not possible with these models to change the battery inside the unit. By cons they have the advantage of being quite tight ...

Internal Memory
This small GPS GT-120 can record 64,000 points coordinated. In regular daily use during the holidays, it consumes War I more than 15000 with a gap setting of 3 seconds on foot, and 2 seconds when the speed exceeds 15km / h, all parametric data as desired.

As I was equipped with a laptop, I transferred the data every night. When circular logging option appeared in summer 2009, I checked for no longer worry about the registration details. (Which function as the memory is full, replace the oldest coordinated) Since I have never erased my contact and it works perfectly, making sure to regularly transfer my data. A practical side to keep everything on the GPS data can be saved on 2 PCs in case of crash of one of them!
